Invitations to seeing God in Moments

So often as Christians it seems there is pressure to have such and such time with Jesus, in the Word and praying and doing all the things just right- don’t get me confused I’m all for being in the Word and prayer. Yet, I firmly believe God created us all uniquely to have a unique relationship with Him and therefore our “God time” looks different. We connect differently. I feel near to God when I workout, when I walk, when I drink coffee. I am learning to see God in the moments with littles. In moments when we are all home, and there is no where to God. I am learning to ask God to show me Himself and to turn my heart towards Him.

In this season of tiny kids- I have felt like I can’t get it right; I can’t be that social media mom who wakes up hours before her kids and workouts; does her quiet time and is dressed before the kids- my oldest is an early riser; good sleeper but wakes up EARLY- so I would wake up earlier and earlier and be so exhausted – hmm that rhythm doesn’t work for me- it might for you but I’m not about adding things in in this season or asking you to- I feel invited to notice God in my routine; in my rhythm – to continually learn to practice the presence of God in what I’m already doing.  Cuz the truth is; He is here with us. So as you pick up kids and change diapers or make dinner or work late. What is happening in your heart? What thoughts are you thinking? What are you feeling? Talk to God about them- ask Him what He is revealing about himself in that; about you? Let’s learn to open ourselves to His presence in each moment. lets place reminders of His presence and love around us to turn our hearts back to Him. There is no perfection here, just freedom to be with God in each moment.

Grace to us, Chelsea
